The kit includes the bushings, solid rubber inserts (optional) and an install dvd. I didn’t get a whole lot done per se but I did complete a major change to the rear suspension. The solid subframe bushings were installed and the subframe was reattached to the car. Of course, this entailed a significant amount of test fitting and adjusting as the bushings didn’t quite work in their unmodified form.

With the front and rear subframes removed, I went ahead and cleaned the members and then applied a rust converter / proofer. I finally had the time to start this weekend. The tear down is always the easy part. As you can see below, the chassis is a little rough around the edges but I will be fixing all of that in the weeks to come. Most of the items have been removed form the engine bay and I began gutting the interior.

MR2 Spyder Intake (Part 1: Removing the Post Filter Intake Pipes)

This mod is the first step in a progression of mods that will ultimately result in the fabrication of a fully custom cold air intake on the MR2 Spyder. The factory intake makes a 90 degree bend after the throttle body and attaches to an intake box. After the box, a long, 2 piece set of plastic tubing snakes around the driver’s side rear fender well and attaches to a hole just behind the...
