Just a couple of updates before the holidays. First, a new project car has been added to Driftopia.com. It just so happens to be my daily driven, 2001 MR2 Spyder that serves as my track car when I’m not drifting. Be sure to check out Part 1: introducing the Daily Driven, Grip Racing MR2 Spyder

Also, next Sunday is going to be called supercharger Sunday around here. Project S2000 is getting boosted in the form of a Comptech super charger. Be sure to check back for a full install guide as well as butt dyno assessments.

And finally, Happy freakin Holidays everyone.

It seems like I have been an absentee blog admin for almost a month now. No, I wasn’t joining some sort of online writer’s strike nor was I resigning myself to the throws of slackerdom. I was finishing my last semester of college. Talk about anti-climatic. But now that it’s over, it is time to get down to business. First, I will be shortening the release cycle of project updates and tech articles. I’ve got a lot of information that needs publishing so expect to see not only more content but content on a widening range of topics. This week will start with a project update for project ca18det 240sx.

During the next year, I am looking to really grow Driftopia.com. I feel it really important to not only create an online community where people can learn but also where people can comfortably participate and contribute. To give this idea a kick start I am making two changes. First, the requirements to receive a free t-shirt are changing. (These rules are changing as of today and therefore do not apply to anyone that signed up before the 15th of December) New members will here on out receive a free t-shirt once they become active members with 10 forum posts and refer 5 new members each with 5 posts. In addition, the t-shirts have received such good reviews that I will also offer them for sale ($14.95 + shipping) starting in January.

The other addition depends on you. Right now I am looking for guest writers for two projects. Project one needs a few individuals that would like to add their cars to the main page project section. This will include the writing of periodic project updates of the car as well as independent tech articles that coincide with the upgrades. The second project is for writer’s of independent tech articles to include in a new blog section. This section will be a store house of knowledge for any car not in the projects section. Right now both of these projects will be a labor of love but as the site grows I intend to add incentives for those that have helped/help.

I am looking forward to this next year and if you are reading this and feel like you would like to contribute, drop me a line in the forums.
